GAC International Philippines, Inc. held its first dealer conference under GAC’s direct, self-operated presence in the country.
Following the establishment of GAC International Philippines, a wholly owned subsidiary managed directly by GAC headquarters, the brand reiterated its promise to provide faster parts availability, more efficient aftersales support, and closer coordination across its nationwide dealer network, reinforcing customer confidence during this new phase of operations.
GAC dealer principals and representatives from Metro Manila, North Luzon, South Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao took part in a dealer agreement signing ceremony during the conference. The nationwide participation reiterated the network’s stability and long-term confidence in GAC’s direction, structure, and investments in the Philippine market.
“The change to self-operation shows our strong confidence in the local market. It also means we will invest more resources, strengthen the local team, and fully support all partners for win-win growth,” said Steven Wang, Senior Vice President of GAC International.
GAC Philippines gave dealers an exclusive preview of its expanding product portfolio, highlighting the lineup that will soon be available across showrooms.
Aside from the Aion UT, Hyptec HT, Aion V, Aion Y Plus, the brand also showcased the upcoming GAC GS8 HEV, GN8 PHEV, and the E8 EV MPV.
The first all-new product under GAC International Philippines is the GS8 HEV—a mid-sized SUV that will come with the Mega Wave THS hybrid system that delivers improved fuel efficiency without compromising performance. As the acronym suggests, THS or Toyota Hybrid System, is licensed to GAC by Toyota.
The GS8 HEV pairs a turbocharged 2.0-liter with 190 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque with a pair of electric motors—182 horsepower (134 kW), 270 Nm at the front and 54 horsepower (40 kW), 121 Nm at the rear. It also sports a 58-liter fuel tank and a 6.0 Ah Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH) battery.
This new 7-seater SUV is expected to be available to accept orders in the Philippines from March 2026, with pricing and full specifications to be announced closer to its retail launch.
